I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Counselor, and Registered Yoga Teacher. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Theater, Speech, and Dance, and my Masters in Social Work; both from The University of South Carolina. My counseling work is further informed by my experience as a professional ballet dancer, father, and person in long- term recovery.
My therapeutic approach is centered in the client-therapist-relationship. I employ an integrated use of both Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and more in-depth Psychodynamic interventions based on the identified needs and goals of each client. Together we will co-create a path for improved functioning, healing, and personal growth. I pride myself on providing a safe and welcoming atmosphere for this process to unfold. This work isn’t easy. It takes courage and commitment and I’m incredibly honored to join my clients in this shared experience.
I work with individuals, families, and couples addressing a wide variety of emotional and behavioral concerns. Special interests include: substance use disorders, behavioral addictions, unprocessed trauma, chronic anxiety – depression, divorce, loss and grief, sexual identity and family of origin issues. “I’m here to help and you’re not alone!”
